Sounds of the city - second entry
I looked back at the original rough sketch for the Scooters illustration and kind of liked the loose and dynamic style- so I re-worked it and entered it also in the AOI Prize for illustration 2017 Sounds of the city competition.

Entry- The Prize for Illustration 2017 Sounds of the City
A swarm of motor scooters roaring through a railway arch, a tube train rumbling overhead and pigeons flapping for their lives, says "London" to me.
The drawing is an A2 watercolour and ink on Saunders 300gsm hot pressed paper. Finishing touches were digital using Affinity Photo

Sounds of the city
I have started working on an entry to the AOI (Association of Illustrators) Prize for illustration 2017 and came up with this sketch. The theme is "Sounds of the City - an illustrated interpretation of sound". The competition is run in conjunction with the London Transport Museum.
A swarm of motor scooters roaring through a railway arch, a tube train rumbling overhead and pigeons flapping for their lives, says "London" to me.
This is a tiny pencil sketch 6 x 3.5cm with colour added in Affinity Photo.

1921 French Grand Prix
DePalma (Ballot) leads race winner Murphy (Duesenberg) with Seagrave (Talbot) behind. I'm not sure whether Seagrave was ever this close to the leaders.
Pencil drawing with digital colouring.
