WIA awards 2015 entry

Peshawar Nights, Pencil & ink on paper 30x21cm

I have recently entered this drawing in the World Illustration Awards 2015 "self initiated" category. Organised by the Association of Illustrators (AOI) and the Directory of Illustration this competition will be a showcase of illustrators from around the world.

Having enjoyed visiting the 2014 awards exhibition at Somerset House I will be keeping the fingers crossed this year.

The drawing depicts heroin users on the streets of Peshawar. It was inspired by the photo journalism of Eduardo Diaz.
