This illustration is an acrylic sketch (20 x 15cm on paper) done over in Photoshop. I am a big fan of artists who do weird and wonderful things with faces. Dave McKean, Ralph Steadman and Matthieu Fappani to name a few. I have also been looking at traditional style portrait paintings by Robert Hunt. The acrylic part of this sketch is referencing his work.
