I have been doodling lately at a larger scale (A2) with charcoal and ink wash. This is one of a series of people drawn from imagination (looks a bit Cate B perhaps) with a little photoshop on the colour tone. Working at the larger scale helps to loosen up the style a bit.

Stained glass window

This image (part shown) was prepared for a translucent glass screen around a swimming pool in an apartment building in Queens Road Melbourne. The full work was 20x3.5 metres and was laminated glass with printed interlayer.

This drawing was done to show how a land fill site in Broadmeadows would appear after landscape remediation. The site will be turned into a public park with playing fields and wetland habitat by the client.

The Anguish series

This drawing started the series that became the Anguish series of sketches. Others in the series have included the drawings done for the BSG Small works exhibition, Poster for Tomorrow entry (campaign to end the death penalty) and the Darebin art show entry Embrace. I have been drawing strong emotions (loss, anxiety, dislocation, love, antipathy, grief). While they are personal they are not directly autobiographical!

This is a comment on the plethora of reality tv shows and the idea that we can judge people for our own amusement. This drawing is part of the Illustrators Australia A3 show in Melbourne and Sydney in July 2011.

This was my entry to the poster for tomorrow 'Death is not Justice' competition. The competition is in support of the Amnesty International campaign to end the death penalty worldwide by UN moratorium in December 2010. The posters are to be displayed in exhibitions worldwide on 10 October 2010. The design is based on one of my recent anguish series.

My latest exhibition opened Saturday 4th September in the West Wing Foyer of Northcote Town Hall. The Crowd is a series of 6 drawings for an illustrated story that I produced as a limited edition hand made book earlier this year.
